Badagry is known for its rich history and deep connection to the transatlantic slave trade. Today, I’m standing at the Point of No Return, the last place many of our ancestors saw before being taken away from their homeland. It’s an emotional moment—a mix of sadness, reflection, and appreciation for our resilience, culture, and strength. 

To get here, I had to take a boat ride—my first boat trip ever! 🚤 The journey itself was an adventure, and arriving in Badagry felt like stepping back in time.
